Default New Poll: Bring Back Danglerb

Somehow the old poll got closed. So here is a fresh poll. I have a feeling that a few of the people who voted no before had a change of heart after voting. Now is your chance to be heard. Should Danglerb be allowed to come back to Rennlist?

Oh my, Danglerb has a 100% approval rating. Maybe I should close the thread while it still has the result that I like.

As a non-voter I will ask, why does the poll need to be public? Seems like making an issue many could care less about into a forum of high drama for the few who do.

For the same reason voting results for elected officials are held private, so too should things of this matter. All you can hope to do, if it is held pubilcly, is to more clearly define the different parties and increase the alienation and hate mail.

Seems like this poll is for those who didn't get the result they wanted from the private poll. To make this a real referendum not only should the poll be private but it should require a quorum of all 928 Rennlisters, not just the ones personally involved.... probably not much interest in that.

I respectfully disagree. If you feel strongly enough to vote yes or no then stand by your vote. If you don't want to stand by your vote then don't vote. Simple. Theres no need for any high drama. Just a simple yes or no vote. In the first poll, there were at least a couple of people who voted no early in the poll that changed their minds later on. This gives ereyone the opportunity to revote and be heard. And to say that this poll is for those that didn't get what they wanted in the first poll is simply untrue. The first poll had the yes vote hovering close to the magic 75% number before it was arbitrarily closed.

Magic 75% or arbitrary 75%?

Unless the guy is a raving loonie tune, he shouldn't have a lifetime ban. A simple decision by the admins should be sufficient.....but hey, let's make it public and vote him back. He can't be any worse than Mulhollandose from the OT Pelican BBS.

Looks to me like the original poll is still open. Still a few percent short of the target numbers, though. Will the possible folks who voted no but now want to vote yes make up the delta?

A yes from me again

This type of issue is why I doubt I'll be renewing my membership here when it expires, as I don't see what return I get for my money.

Internet Brands sell advertising to a pretty exclusive demographic on this site, and giving them additional cash for the privilege of having me as a user just seems silly.

He was no threat to anyone plus we need a little more excitement around here. I am willing to bet he won't last 1 month if they bring him back though.

I was going to suggest putting every member to a vote - anyone who can't maintain a 75% rating gets kicked out...
But then I got to thinking - I'd probably be the first booted....

I know where he hangs out and must say... I have strayed...
I ventured over and checked some of his post. They are knowledgeable and help others - isn't that what this forum is all about?
While his banning predates quite a few on this forum, and I might suggest that they vote to bring him back also, as it is them that stand to gain the most.
Who among us believes that their Internet etiquette is perfect and without some learning moments.

While I honestly detest nothing more then Pelicans when they crap on my boat, I do not believe getting rid of them forever is the answer.
Instead I have learned to watch them dive into the water from great heights, head first, to fish and survive...
I know I can take solace in the fact that every once in awhile....

That just has to hurt.
