Default Tire mounting price?

What do you guys pay for mounting and balancing your tires? Mine are stock size 265/35/18 and 225/40/18. The shop considered them low profile and raped me for $40.00 per tire $160 total. Oh yea and I pulled the wheels off the car

I didn't even pay that much for road force balancing.......but....mine were 40 series 17's, not 35/40 series 18's. Did you get any kind of road hazard protection with that price? I always turn them down on that, my tires just don't last long enough for that.

I always pull mine off the car too, because I usually buy the tires from Tire rack on-line. They seem to charge more when you do not buy the tires from the shop mounting them....

Think I paid $15 each for mount and balance with out new valve stems or road hazard. They were Tirerack tires put on at PepBoys.

Only two shops in town have the machine to do this size of tires. The other shop was cheaper I believe 25 a tire but couldn't get to it till next week some time.

The best place in Phoenix charges about $25-30 per tire - valves, disposal, roadforce balance, wheel cleaning, all manual jacking and soft socket torque wrench for loosening & tightening.

Almost free!

(I know, just wait... )

$30/ea for us, with balance and off the car. That was local, we could have spent $20 in gas and saved $20...

$9 per tire. $36 for all four, and those are my 245/40-18 and 275/35-18 tires. I win

Discount tire here does mount and road force balancing for about $30 per tire. Cheaper when I buy the tires through them.

At the track, up to about 19 bucks a tire with disposal fee. 15 for my buddies at wheel works, but they beat up the rims!
