Local here in Nor CA, among the highest cost-of-living areas in the US, is about $20 per.

You might jump on Tire rack and find their recommended installer. In Stillwater I used the Goodyear store and they could mount rims up to 22''. They charge $1/inch so mine were $17 ea. mounted and balanced and no worries about torn up rims!

I have a great deal with the local Discount Tire - they match the tirerack price, no shipping, and charge $10 per tire for mounting on the rim and balancing - they take them off, and put them on the car, without air tools. I bring my torque wrench.

I do it myself but by the time I'm done $15 a tire seems cheap.

I pay £5 per tyre (paid by cash though!). I always observe and make sure they jack in the correct places. I don't even think the place I go have an air impact gun, so no problems with that either!

best bet is to call around

I had some put on another car and was driving around and got prices in person for $20 each wheel.

Then i said, screw driving, i brought up google maps on the iphone for tire shops, the 2nd place i called said $10 per and i drove over there and they got my business.

It helps to break out the phone, i think if they figure your already there, you will just say yes, but over the phone they need a way to bring you to them, and a low price is just the ticket.

They were also balanced, and included valve stems too BTW, and again, all for 4 for $40

I paid a lot for mine. I just got my wheels painted and I could only find one guy in the area that could do it without scraping the paint off the lip ('no-touch' system or something like that?). I think I paid well over $100 for all four and the new ones didn't have anything on them, they just had to take two of the tires off the old rims. I delivered them in the back of my car so they didn't take them off or mount them either.

Could have gotten them done cheaper, but I was fond of the new paint.
