Maybe you should have used Amsoil grease......

notice the cold weld at the shifter shaft point. It basically was held on by two 1/8" pieces of steel. pretty thin.

Now,its welded all the way around and has some penetration. (which is always good! )

Damm thats BIZZARE....wow.....time to sport a "short" shifter....

I finally got all the new stuff installed on the widows shifter...carls forward shift cup with a short shifter and a new forward bushing-bracket thingie....it shifts VERY nice now...or at least feels better rowing the gears since it still doesn't run
