Speed Racer Next Generation 928

My son has been watching the Speed Racer Next Generation on Nick. Every time I see it I think that their Mach 6 looks a lot like a 928...especially from the rear. I could not find photos but attached is a trailer that shows it. Anyone else find a resembalance?

a pair of jet engines strapped on...

When I saw the recent big screen version one of the cars has some rims that look exactly like phone dials.

Stealth fighter without wings? old lambos are SO ugly! Now, diablos, those are a different story.

the Mach 6 kind of looks like it has some of the rear 928 flavor. rear hatch, those tail lights are S4ish.
