To edit a post of yours, look in the bottom-right corner of the post when viewing the thread - there should be an Edit icon alongside the usual Quote and Multi-Quote ones (the edit one looks like a sheet of paper).
That'll open your post and let you change it.
Changing the title is, if memory serves me right, one of the advanced edit options in there somewhere.
To add pictures, you need to add attachments. If you want images in-line rather than at the end of the post use the "upload photo" link at the top of the page first, then use the Insert Image like you're been trying to, with the url for each photo in your album.

Thanks for the advice Ryan, unfortunately the operation is the same. Typically when I use "Quick Reply" I also click on the "go advanced" option at the bottom of the page which basically gets you to the same screen as "Post Reply". Just learned this.
Result is the same when I click on "Insert Image" icon.... asks for a URL instead of a 'browse' option. Still need to know how to edit the original post. I'd like to update the title from
91 S4 Turquoise Metallic "Refresh"
to
91 S4 Turquiose Metallic "Refresh" Part 2
and then add the new comments and pictures to the end of my original post. Any help offered is greatly appreciated.

Xlot - Thanks so much for the most helpful information. As you can read I was able to update the title of the message once I discovered that the "Edit Post" icon is in the lower right corner of the orginal post. Not at the end of the thread where I kept looking for it. I was also easily able to edit/add more text.
However, the uploading images thing is still a mystery. I did click on the images icon and it displayed the existing pics I previously loaded. No help there as to how to append more pics to the end. Your appreciated instruction to use the regular "Insert Image" with the url still does not make sense to me. A url is different than a directory structure. For example, I could type in c:\dan\my documents\my pictures\928 Pics, which would tell where on my computer/hard disk the pictures are located. A url is a web address like http://renlist.com/. I was able to upload the pictures orginally but cannot seem to find the same method to incrementally add more.
I need a wee bit more help on the pics part.
Thanks greatly.

Dan, when you go to EDIT -scroll down farther than the text box and there is a rectangular button named "Manage Attachments". Click that. It will give you a pop-up window (make sure pop-up blocker is not on) and will give you 5 spaces to type a location or use the "Browse" button next to each entry point. When you have found the pics you want, click the "Upload" button. Wait for the files to show in the pop-up window and where the "Manage Attachments" button is. Then click "Save" and you're golden!
There were problems yesterday I noticed while trying to do the same thing... hopefully it is fixed now and we can see more of your pics!!
Nice work so far!

White Lightnin -- Thanks! that was the last bit of information I needed. As a noob where did you find out how to do this? I have read the FAQ's and they were lacking details like this.
Thanks again to you and Xlot. I will keep things updated as progress is made.

Trial and error Dan... I think I just scrolled down to find a 'post message' button or something and saw it. Incidentally, if you keep scrolling down you can see the last 15 messages on the thread and there is a 'click here' to see ALL the messages from the beginning -that way you can cut & paste quotes and know who to address comments to and so forth.
Like I said, 'trial and error'. I too, wish there was a more complete 'How To' section for newbies and old salts alike. I am still trying to figure out how to put commentary between photos or to have 'quote boxes' from multiple users within the same message... I guess I'll keep trying!
Can't wait to see more pics!

BTW Dan... I have vacationed in Maui and seem to recall something about a 'ferry service' to take a car to other islands? If it is real, you can get that stroker motor and take it to the tracks on Oahu! Too cool!

Unfortunately, or fortunately, depending upon your position, the "Super Ferry" suspended service to Kauai. Additionally, the lone racetrack here in the islands has closed as well

True, the superferry is gone, but it never went to Kauai anyway. There is still a drag track on Maui (www.mrp.com) and SCCA still runs auto X on Oahu at Halawa stadium (www.sccahawaii.com). You can barge cars from island to island using Young Brothers, but I heard it is a bit expensive for a weekend of racing, particularly as you have to pay airfair as well.

Hi Karl, Th e Super Ferry did come here but only a couple of times before it was turned away by evironmentalists on their surfboards and canoes. Impressive.
The Young brothers method here is on tugboat towed barge without any protection from the salt spray if it gets windy. The Super Ferry would have been great. I may still go that route everyone in awhile just to keep the car from getting lonely. I look forward to meeting you and others of the PCA crew here in the islands.

UPDATE Aug 10/09 91 S4 Turquoise Metallic "Refresh" Part 2
In the last few weeks I made the decision to move forward with the Sunroof Delete on my 91 S4. No better time than now to do it while all the other body and paint work is being completed. Though only 6'0" (183cm) my head rubbed on the roof.
Sunroof-less panel is available, not too expensive, not too much added labor to R/R the existing sunroof panel. Some pics....

Now you need to source a non-sunroof headliner.... that's where it could probably get tough! You may have to get one from Europe...
