When I posted the pics I said to myself "Self, I bet either drbob or Rob Edwards will spot the low air in the right front tire." Not only was I right about that, but Rob even spied the crane tracks in the grass. It is this attention to detail that is reflected in the great many fiddly things on this project done right.
DK, Penultimate was a specifically chosen adjective. It is difficult to imagine another project such as this. It is a very complex intersection of design, skills, commitment, time and money. That said, I am optimistic someday another person will endeavor to clear the very high bar that this car represents.
The congratulations are received like a father of newborn child. Plenty of pats on the back and "Good show ol man!" when in reality it is the Mother who did all the work and deserves the credit. I deflect them from me to the great many friends and contributors who made this project possible and completed.
Dan - That looks fantastic! Almost too nice to drive.
However, I hope you're wrong when you say: "The result is indeed the penultimate 928." It might be the best 928 and, therefore, the ultimate 928, but let's all hope it's not the penultimate 928. Penultimate means "next to last". If it truly were the penultimate, there would be only one more great 928 to come. Too many of us plan to follow your lead for that to be true.

Sue and I had the very great pleasure to deliver the car from Anaheim to Phoenix for Dan, when he couldn't. We're no strangers to brand-new 928's, but this was something different. Factory-fresh but with a combination of performance and poise that is like no other. It is quiet and tight, but if you want to be in a different time-zone just push the right-hand pedal for a moment. Changed your mind? No problem.
At Sharktoberfest. Shiny!
Da boots!
Good for 20 over, like most such signs...
(Yes, that's the wbo2 connection... we're always Sharktuning...
Thanks, Dan !!

Simply spectacular, and to me shows just how good the basic platform is. You could not achieve that sort of result in performance, appearance, and overall quality with many other vehicles. Magnificent accomplishment!

Wow, doesn't seem that long ago I was hanging around when you first brought the car in to Precision. It looked great to me then, almost unbelievable now. Its a showcase for the best work of some of the best craftsman, almost seems like it should be on display someplace.
The more difficult accomplishment for a project like this is that the end result is so tasteful and Porschelike. I expect it will have many fans around the world.
Happy motoring Dan.

Can't begin to fathom "Docile Dan" doing this thing Rob calls "hooning" and do it in his own yard with one of his prize possessions
After further review, (pic below) you are not to be believed. You made those marks in your lawn and you are in denial sir, please don't blame it on an innocent, unnamed landscaping crew. Fess up
Oh and by the way, FANTABULOUS job on your TQ car. You were an inspiration to my projects T
