Just an FYI
The standard Laco pilots watch WITH sapphire crystal and only one strap would run apprx $700.
So this very special watch WITH a custom strap, dial, hands, engraving on caseback, etc is a GREAT deal any way you look at it.
Got a few emails questioning the price, so I said I would publicly respond, as I have nothing to hide.
Members here are paying $599, the remaining watches are going to be $749. Which is still a good deal.
It's a special project and I am happy to be involved
EDIT: the NEW Laco pilots watch no longer is offered with the screw down crown from what I was told by the company. But our watch will have the screw down crown.

Just a little more info in case you wanted to order straps from your favorite supplier or have one custom done.
The width is 20mm
Also 20mm at the buckle (so you can utilize the orig Laco buckle with any strap you order )
Most 20mm straps taper down to an 18mm at the buckle.
I am sure we will have a cool thread with people personalizing the watch with custom straps and such, so I thought I would put the specs up

Chris,
Way to hold Laco's feet to the fire regarding the crown and other issues. I like the screw down so much better than the new one they will feature going forward.
The number "2" is a small issue, though I do agree with Barry for what it's worth. I'm still as excited as ever to get this great looking watch that is a tribute to an iconic car!
I have heard that some might be interested in buying "extra" watches to resell for a profit. I don't begrudge anyone making a living. However, James, RDK, and especially Chris have considerable investment in time and capital to make this project affordable for enthusiasts. Especially considering the limited numbers that may lead to appreciation of these pieces in the future, I don't feel it is right for others to profit on the goodwill and on the backs of our friends who freely gave for the benefit of our community.
I don't know what can be done to prevent profiteering, and I trust Chris has been in business long enough to protect his interests. However, I also suspect Chris would not bring this up with the community.
My intent in bringing this up is to promote goodwill and honor what Chris and others have done to bring us this unique watch that is a great value for the price.
