Default More plating, and washer measurement convention in PET?

I got hooked on this plating parts thing with all the parts for the stroker motor, so I figured I'd get all the stuff on the GT plated as well. I decided to try the FPR's, got some silicone plugs, which seemed to work great. The first batch, I compulsively kept all the parts organized in little baggies and took them to Greg, who promptly poured them into a pile, since the plater was going to do this anyway. This time I was less compulsive.

Anyway, I thought I would be able to ID everything, and got most of it, but I'm left with large stacks of washers. Looking at PET, washers are labeled (for instance) A 10,5. I presume the '10' is the diameter of the hole, and the '5' is the width of the 'ring', in mm?

Some plating ****:

Got some ID'ed

Other stuff, notsomuch:

All you other guys are sorting your hardware on your wife's white tile kitchen counter on Mother's Day, right?

I don't know about this application (washers), but generally, 10,5 is german speak for 10.5

They seem to use commas where we would use a decimal point. I'd assume this, but could be wrong in this case.

Oh yeah... and by the way... HOLY F#^$%*@! CRAP! thats a lot of hardware to sort! I don't think I could sleep at night not knowing where every bolt goes precisley... I bag and label all bolts per part and even by driver and passenger side... I guess I would be able to handle it if my hardware looked like that going back together. Does plating threads make for a tigher tolerance fit in threads? I would suppose not. Probably less than .001" on diameter. I just answered myself didn't I? All this late night wrenching is making me a little bit loony I think.

It certainly looks like you know how to do things right. How much does the plating cost by the way?

I'm guessing that the A means DIN 125A and 10,5 is the hole diameter. (Non English speaking europeans write 10,5 when they mean 10.5. aka ten and a half)

Below is a useful reference

Rob:

Bring anything you can't figure out by and I'll spend "37 seconds" telling you where it goes. I'm to the point where I can tell this stuff apart, in the dark.

Mike:

A "batch" of hardware is one charge, at the plating store. If you bring separate bags and want them kept separate, each one counts as a "batch". So, for an engine with everything separate, the plating charge would be about $4000.00....much cheaper to measure everything, make notes, and throw it all together. You hould have seen Rob's face, the first time I took all his individually cleaned, bagged, and marked hardware, removed it from each separate baggy, and threw it all in one box. Absolutely priceless!

Ok, I laughed out loud at that.
I would have loved to have seen the look on your face.

Funny, they were all there when you bought the car. What are all those bolts in that coffee can for? The can marked "found on garage floor".

Way too much trouble. Mary made 6 phone calls and I made 4 trips down to the plater to get Rob's done. Never could charge enough to make up for the plater's inefficiency.

As good a deal as the plating itself is, this particular batch was a screaming bee-otch for Greg, I think he called them at least 6 times to see when it would be done, then had to go 'find' the box of parts for them at their own facility after they 'lost' them once. Not sure he'd be enthusiastic about that hassle on a regular basis.

If you have him build you a stroker, all the bits will come back shiny, I can tell you that

EDIT: What Greg said.....
