Progress report, rapidly moving backwards! Pics
I have the bottom end done, heads on, waiting for some parts right now.
Car I bought the Interior out of, we still have some work to do here.
My car in about the same shape.
Temporary wheels until I can get some Carrera III's.
They are 18's but I am not sure what they are, cheap though.

Now it is all down hill from here.
Once it got back to the shop looking like this I knew it would make it.

Its easy....take EVERYTHING out and put it in the corner of the shop....then only put back the bare minimum it takes to make it run!!! (I still need to do this with all my old wiring harnesses that don't do anything anymore)

I really think I can do it if I do not run into a parts problem.
If I get the rest of the gaskets and a few other parts by Friday, the motor will be ready to install on Monday, maybe.
The biggest thing left on the motor is going to be the intake.
The cams are not that big of a deal.
Like I have said, the car should be ready in time for SITM, now whether or not I have two dimes left after it is done is going to be another question.

I stole the idea from a couple of folks here with really good looking cars.
I am not sure if this car is a restoration or a resto mod or what, just that is is going to be the 928 I want to drive when I am done.
I got pretty much all the mechanical's done before I took it apart for paint.
Did the trans, brakes, a bunch of lines, TT, superclamp, belt and water pump plus all the other little stuff you have to do to make one in good shape and then drove it for a few months.
I bumped my head and I tore it all apart for paint and here is where I am at now

What a great project! I like the way it's looking with the fresh paint and no rub strips. And that engine!....looks brand new!! Just the way I like 'em - clean and shinning! Nice job, Greg!!

I was going to suggest that I send out my Chevelle and you could put the interior back in, while you send me your 928 and I'd put it back together...but not after seeing that! You're a brave man, Greg!
Say, I've got a customer that wants to replace his rear quarters with GTS panels...it doesn't look too bad...seems like just a few welds to cut out and then rehang. The body shop quoted him 50 hours to do it...can that be real?
