Mark and I talked about this...much better to do this where there is an endless supply of pieces. If we did it at my place, we'd need to make a thousand trips to Mark's place, for little things.

Easter Sunday is going to be very tough for me.

Sorry guys and girls. This weekend was the only one that was not going to work out for me. If this project continues into other weekends you can probably count me in.

Wait- some of the parts are going to be greasy?

If Lisa can only make it for a few hours, that's cool, people have important family responsibilities on Easter. Makes no difference to me WHOSE car burned, I'd hop in and help a fellow 928'er however I could.

Besides, I can't think of a better way to learn more about 928's than to help strip one to the frame and put it back together. All the unfortunate circumstances that led to this aside, this is a great opportunity for everyone involved (except for Mark, perhaps...

Mark- it says dismantler on the building. I know you have torches, a forklift, and air tools, but do you have any torque wrenches? I can bring some.....

Lisa--

Go to church early on Sunday since it's Easter, or go Saturday evening. If you are waiting for Palm Sunday that's another year from now, no worries about that being in the way of this Sunday's efforts.

Here's a thought for you. A pretty decent-sized group of skilled folks is gathering to do some resurection work on your car for you. Taking time from their lives and families on Easter. Plan to be there first with donuts and coffee, bring coveralls and work gloves, and leave last after all the cleanup is done. Check your job, since most places close up on Easter. You need to demonstrate at least as much dedication and enthusiasm as you expect from the crew working on your car. Just a thought.

In Lisa's defense, this work party was pretty last minute. Had she had more fore warning I am sure she would have made accommodations to be there. Lets not turn this into some sort of issue, those that want to help can.

CAShark.....are you showing up?

Hopefully I haven't complicated this by jumping in like a spazz and pushing for 4/12 if that timing is lousy for Lisa and others. This is a tricky dynamic- One the one hand, the knee jerk reaction is to get this thing done so it's out of Mark's warehouse, he's got a business to run. On the other hand if it doesn't work for Lisa (who I agree should be there wrenching/helping/taking ownership for the work as much as possible) then postpone until it works for as big a group as possible. Ultimately I think the 'when' question should be Mark & Lisa's decision, as they've got the most skin in the game.

Agreed. We still need for Mark to take a look at it and verify that it can be repaired as well. Hopefully things will work out and this well happen today.

It goes without saying that everyone is welcome at The Phoenix Club's pub at 7 for a planning session as well! </shameless plug>
