Default Help reverse the "The tragic death of Leeroy"

Well I talked to Lisa yesterday and she sent me some pictures of Leeroy and my first reaction was there was no saving him. But then I got to thinking about an alternative way to reserect him for very little money which is where the Rennlist comes in (no this is not an Aprils fools joke).
I've got a similar age parts car that I have not started on so fesibly I have every part to fix her car and with some help on the labor side of things, I bet we could get it back on the road (minus paint) on a Saturday. Any volunteers?

I'm in - if you do it in Florida - I'll even add the paint.

This is a pretty good showing of 928 camaraderie - hope the Cal crowd gets it done.

Way to go Mark! I'l be there in spirit. Not having seen the damage, I'm all for saving the car. Hope it works out and we can get it on the road. If the car comes to TX, I can have it painted real cheap by my part time guy.

I am in the other LA.....

But I am cheering you on. I think it is a great idea. RAOK (random acts of kindness) will always come back to you when you need help the most.

Mark...............given that many Rennlisters are spread throughout the globe can we not contribute to Lisa's rebuild in other ways?

$$ for labour

I'd really rather not ask for $$ but maybe its not for me to decide. Maybe if someone has an extra set of new fuel lines or some other new part she might need that may help.

Cool,

How about if someone (not necessarily you) posts a list of parts she's going to need and then people who are more remotely located can either send them directly or buy them from one of the vendors and have them shipped?

That's a good idea. First I need to get the car here and make sure there is no big deal breaker.

Sorry but I don't feel it's my place to do so (unless Lisa gives me the go ahead)

Wiring is going to be a challenge with a toaster. You'll need the harness from the CE panel out to the engine bay. Also, all the electrics for the sensors. Plenty of time consuming work in there. Not to discourage the effort, but you'll need someone handy with wiring.
