The fact that the liners are expensive isn't my issue. The fact that they completely and totally suck (i.e. disintegrate after a few years) is the issue.

Don't mean to sound negative - really - just want to provide input. I don't think $225 is reasonable when you can get the real thing with all the pieces for $100 more. Just my input. Others may disagree

And thanks for collecting the voice of the customer

how about factory looking plastic coverings for the TS and CS guys so that they dont have to pull everything for the CA emission tests?

As to the front plastic splitter, keep in mind alot of sactioning bodies require that it not stick out past the nose of the bumper.

I agree, since seeing this thread I wanted to call and ask about a sexy stock looking molded cover for my system. I have already looked at making Carbon Fiber ones. But a stock looking inexpensive version to pop on real quick for a trip to the Smog ***** would be nice to have, plus some prefer the "stock look" all the time.

I vote also for nice splitters for S and S4-up version. I certainly would be interested in selling some of those and other 928 goodies if that helps meet startup demands.

Also another vote for Jim's "Cold Air Guide" but with more room around the sides of the oval "bell mouths" for better breathing.... and to easily accomodate for wider oval bell mouth replacements.. hint, hint.

So DR wants to make a plastic cover that looks like the stock S4 MagFlakesium intake to put over the TwinScrew charger so a cursory inspection will make it look like an S4 motor with funny side Dyson filters.

Oh, that fat belt on the front. It's for the alternator.
The Frod's have their alternator nestled in the 'Vee'. That's what the belt's for.

Ernest,

You mean like this? Of course there is a big honkin VGT Turbo behind my alternator.

Several items for the S4 & later fog light assemblies spring to mind:
clear plastic stone guard in profile of adjacent bumper cover & covering both lenses.
replacements for the stock reflector holders & adjusters (mine are almost all broken).

Cheers, Myles

Dave, my suggestion was a stock looking covering to avoid suspision. Using the carbon fiber looses that, and may make them want to "look" more.

I wouldnt buy one myself, but I do know it would be a hot ticket item for nazifornians.

I am interested in a front splitter, and factory front spoiler (87+) with better brake ducting attachments!

I wuz thinking a cover molded with fake 3D bulge in silver of the S4 intake plenum with black surround so it appears as if there's a S4 intake sitting on top of the motor.
Like doing a vacuum form plastic cover using the S4 intake as a mold.

I agree and was what I tried to say earlier, my comment on the CF one shown was that it is nice looking.

I'd like to get some lens covers for HID lights mounted in the stock headlight location,
that'll stay in place at over 200 mph.

Well.... it DOES drive the alternator. I can say that with a straight face.
