Way to go Mike.
We could do the Murano Green S4 too.

Thanks Ed.

I've got a pretty well stocked toolbox but please bring anything that you think we might need. I may not have enough to fill all the hands that might want to do some wrenching.

I'm impressed Mike. Not only did you get some helping hands but you have Roger throwing in free parts and Dr. Ed came out of hiding too. Awesome job. ;thumbup: I wish I lived closer. It sounds like a good group is showing up.

Dr. Ed, welcome back. Are you and Sherri coming to Sebring?

I'm hoping to bring the turbo car. Gary is still on the fence since he will just be returning from Sebring. My plan is to drag him there if needed!

Could someone please provide a complete list of parts needed for performing this service? Do you rebuild or replace the tensioners when you are in there?

Mike,

I think we will be doing Gary's beautiful S4 at the Par-Tay../

Check John Pirtle's list in the link in the original post. It's basically the belt, water pump and tensioner bits.

There may be some other "while you're in there" things you (or Gary) may want to consider too, though. I'd like to hear any suggestions from the list regarding this. I'm planning to replace all of the access. belts on the front of the engine while I've got them off plus I'm replacing the tensioner with a Porkensioner so no rebuild required for me.

Sweet. I've got an extra set of service covers minus the front piece if he needs to use it unless I wind up doing the green car too.

Abby,

You can always check out website for Kits with parts listed for most of the popular procedures like this. We list the most often used parts including part numbers for your reference. Look under "928 Specialists Kits".

Here is a direct link to the kits. https://www.928gt.com/showcategory.a...03&sectionID=0

...and a direct link to the 87-95 T-Belt WP Kit. https://www.928gt.com/pc-2177-1403-t...kit-87-95.aspx

Hope that helps,

Wish I was still in Atlanta, I would definitely be there.

It would be great to have you join the party. You're not that far away and I'd love to have the opportunity to repay some of your hospitality.

Just be sure to watch out for old men in Taurus Wagons if you drive through Sylva, N.C.

Hmmm, I need to go to Atlanta soon to visit my pattern maker and the foundry about some new castings.. I will see if I can plan around that time.

I might be able to make it. I've done a couple of belts in the last 10 years. My belt will be due soon but I hesitate to do it at the same time over there if an issue comes up and the car may not be driveable.

I hope to make it as well. I've done 2 in the last 10 months...both added porkensioner's. I could sure use a new oil pan gasket change!!! Would a lift be available at some point?
