If they were scrubbing the inside edge, the alignment wasnt good. did you have a reading of the toe settings? again, im at 110mm and have seen what 1" toe in can do to the outside edge and 1/8" of toe out can do to the inside edge. at 1/16-8th toe-in, you the tires will wear beautifuly.

my bmw was doing the same thing. So, no alignement shop, but I measured the toe to be 0. so, i just turned both tie rods in by a half a turn to toe it in ever so slightly, and its been great for the past 3 years with new tires up front. the old tires burned the inside edge after only a year.

It could be that you got it aligned without you in the car, and with soft springs or springs have become soft, you naturally would toe out a bit. lots of factors, but the ride height will have no bearing on tire wear.

as far as raising the car, you need to rotate the adjusters clockwise as viewed from the bottom. this raises the adjuster, leaves more shock below, and pushs the spring upward . the car floats on the springs so all goes up as well.
I need to raise mine since it drags frequently, not like my others, and there is no way I could put the front spoiler on. The tires also rub the inside of the wheel well. It's a no brainer for me.

Hey, if you have offsets that are causing issues, I understand that. raising the car is better than buying new wheels.
