Thats the coolest thing Ive seen in a while. Look forward to seeing the results. However, I would have gone larger and I HOPE those runners have bell mounthed inlets in the plennum!!!

EDIT: MAN that is COOL!!! GREAT Job on the inlet runners!!!!!! (I saw the pictures after the inital post)

Nice job.

you NEED to get that on a NA car as soon as possible.
Is this going to be a manufactured system or a one off?

what will be the cost?

I read that having the bell mouth in the "floor" of the plenum wall is also good if not better. Did you research that?

It's a one-of. The hours that went into it are crazy. I'm not sure I can even add it up. In comparison - we made the whole front clip and the mold to cast it in less time than this project - and both projects were going on in the shop at the same time.

Sheet metal intakes, when purchased from someone, will always be very expensive. The time and effort to "make one" where there is none at all, is very high.

Kind of figured as much!

Hey, make one of these out of a scavanged S4 intake (for the head mounting) and do the exact same thing. Bet it would be a screamer for the S4 community!)

Is this sheet metal or aluminum? if sheet metal, it looks like you welded the runners to the stock intake runner base with some tweeks for the injector. true?

I was wanting to know if you checked the flow on the shoe?

We have suspected this to be a bottleneck on the 85/86 engines for awhile and would like to dispel that theory!

For a Race car those runners are good. Kind of big for something that needs some good midrange.

But it should SING on boost above 4k!

Awesome!

I can't wait to see the dyno numbers...

And hey, it still looks like a "spider". Just a different kind...
