yes the connection has left to right and, not as much front to back. If you remove one bolt from each side you will see ther is room to move the Xmember

So am I being rubbed the wrong way?
From what I see if I shift the rear it is only going to move the problem from left to right or both sides will rub.
I measured 4" "101 MM" from the rotor to the inside of the rim so does this make the offset 101 MM or do I need to measure it a different way.

by the way lowering the spring perches will lower the rear of the car closer to the tops of the tires. On a 928 rear when the tire compress the tops of the tires move inwards.
There are 6 bolts that need to be loosened to move the rear Xmember there are two bolts one on either side of each trans mount then there are 2 on the top ends of the Xmember all 6 will need to be loosened, You dont have to touch the trans mount bolts the trans will move with the Xmember.

from the pictures it looks like you need to get a set of rims with a 50mm offset or more more being 52, 54, 58, 65,. By the way with the car on the ground how much clearance is between the inner tire wall and the fender well?
Otherwise you may need to raise the car with the shocks and then grind some of the inner fender down so the outer edges wont hit.
I think you may have to change wheels the tires should be fine with the correct wheels if moving the Xmember and raising the rear shocks doesnt work

You said that those rear fenders are fiberglass? Those must be some REALLY low offset wheels. I'm not sure how you could get those to fit. If the fenders were metal, you could just pull on them a little. The metal rear fenders are quite easy to pull out without damaging anything, but fiberglass will not like that.

I have 11" wide champions on my euro with a 67 offset in the rear(car is a 1980 "S") Your offset is way off I think you posted pick of the rims after you had them painted and every1 said the same thing back then. Ditch the rims and buy new/used rims with a offset of 63-67. you can add spacers to make it fit correctly if needed!

Thats not how you measure offset.
Offset is measured from the center line of the rim to the inner mounting surface. ( the part that will touch the hub once bolted on)
This is what alot of people miss when you are talking about wheel fitment. An offset # that fits well in an 8 inch wide wheel will fit completely differently on a 9 inch wheel because it is measured from the centerline, not the outer edge.
