I tried jogging with The Who shutting out NYC noise. I nearly got run over by a CAR turning into the crosswalk. I was in a park. It may be legal in TX, but it's not smart.

Somehow, the term "gentleman" feels a bit metrosexual in this context. G

In fact, if anyone at the upcoming October NJ fun ride thinks my car is loud enough to scare the snot out of anyone else on the road, I would like to be so informed. Especially, since it will be passing its second inspection, since we bought it, tomorrow.

(And yes, I said "passing inspection," not "getting inspected". I'm that confident of its roadworthiness and legality. )
See?!? No bs'ing here.....PASSED!!
(with headers, high flow cats and borla muffler ... yeah, it's a tad bit loud...but not evil! )

Wot's this got to do with Tom Selleck ? Neanderthal/cavemen were cromagnon. Thinks maybe it does have to do with Selleck.

PS Exec producer of Magnum PI was one Glen Larson ????

I'm looking to upgrade my exhaust system to improve performance. I drive my 928S about once a week just for fun or when I go away for the weekend. From what I have read, I definitely want to do the Borla cat back system.

I started out wanting the Y-Pipe to replace the cat. Now I'm hesitant after reading some of the post about back pressure and torque curves. For my application and usage, is the Y-Pipe without a cat a good option? Should I just do the Borla cat back system?

Question 21/2" pipes straight out the back

I`m replaceing the exhaust on my 1980 S with 2 High Performance mufflers and an X pipe and SS tips. Has anyone ever just ran the pipes straight out the back?? Which on my S would be close to the gas tank. Would a heat resistor be needed? It`s not like it would be an open flame or spark problem. Also, I`ve been reading up on crossover pipes and have read that the X should be placed as far to the rear as possible. Any feedback on any of this????? toofer
