Joe: Glad to hear you enjoyed the event. Get your car ready for next year, which for a 928 basically means just making sure the tire pressure is right. These cars were designed for ORR.

Thanks, Bill. Unfortunately, I have some noises emanating from the right rear of my car at fast speeds and corners that I'm going to have to track down. I think it's the CV joints....

Great job everyone, and thank you for taking the time to write it all up and post pictures. Us mortals live vicarously through your stories.

Congratulations Joe. Sounds like you had a good time. If you're serious about ORR, you
might check out MKM (openroadracing.com). As a rookie there, you would be able to run
up to the 125 mph class with a 140 tech (car must meet Grand Touring tech requirements).
If you've had some track experience, you can even run in the 130 class with a 150 tech (as
long as the vehicle has all the safety equipment required for Grand Sports). The rookie training
is offered on the the road that the race occurs, so is more in tune with what the event is all
about. Of course, the SSCC is also a fun event, and it's run on the fastest road. 110 won't
be much of a challenge for the 928, but competing again 25 other cars will be a challenge for
you and the navigator in that class.

Enjoyed the write up Joe. Glad to see you out there. I'm looking forward to your report from the left seat next time.

Nice job guys (well except for Tim :>)

I gotta get out there one of these days.....or years......

It sure looks like a corvette convention in the staging area....

It does seem there is quite a bit of difference between driving vs "navigating" at least on the track.....just about anyone can drive around a racetrack...but put them in the passenger seat while someone else drives around the racetrack and weird things happen..... ORR can't be that different......
