Prior to re-tightening my alternator belt, my voltage at idle was pretty low for an extended period. Now that I've tightened that belt and gotten a decent 12.5 volts at idle, I have replaced the battery with the same Interstate 34R (NASCAR label) that I've had good success with in my Ferrari.

The old battery charged up, however, so now I have a fully charged spare battery ready for a hot swap into either the 928 or 348, if needed.

Replaced my old radiator cap with a new Stant today. The old one was functional, but its center stem was cracked. Proactive repair!

Oy vey. Car was really low on fuel. Kids wanted to help wash my windows while I gassed up. My 3 year old decided to "clean" the rear side window.

Yup. You guessed it. Water from the squeegee dripped right into the fuel filler nozzle.

Oh, crap...

Gets us home where I did a 2nd engine Seafoam treatment and a full bottle of Redline's Fuel System Cleaner in the fuel tank.

Let her idle there in the driveway for an hour.

Took her out for a test drive.

Success!

Drives fine again.

That place is near my house and I know a guy that took his POS Corolla to make the same jump as the 928 but I don't like this video either.

I ordered both a Stant and a Gates radiator cap ($2 for one, $3 for the other at RockAuto.com) to replace the broken Behr radiator cap on my 928.

There are pros and cons to each.

The Behr is the easiest to remove when the car is warm/hot. The Gates is the easiest to install and lock, hot or cold.

The Gates and the Stant appear identical in every way.

I've left the Gates cap on for now.

Hit a huge pothole in a commercial parking lot for trucks today which knocked my front spoiler off of the right side of my 928.

Had to remove the entire spoiler outside in the rain to get home.

Oh well, my 928 now weighs less!

I would suggest that you use a factory rad cap and toss out the KnN filter while your at it.
From the last picture the washer tube could probably be moved into its rubber grommet to shorten it up some, then it wont get caught between the firewall rubber sealing strip, good luck with your ride.

Added a 1" Momo steering wheel spacer between the steering wheel and hub adapter today. Makes for a much better driving position for me.

It's counter-intuitive. You'd think that shorter people would need the spacers, but it's the other way around. Tall people need the steering wheel extended an inch toward the driver. Go figure.
