Default 996 GT3 Seats in '91GT

Logically, I'd think I will need bracket adapters. Can anyone confirm this? If so, does anybody know where I can get them? 996 GT3 lightweight seats by Recaro, having a problem getting in touch with them. Thanks.

I believe they go straight in in your car, mine needed changes because it was an early model. Good for the track and short trips, not too good on the long stuff over 2 hrs, that is for sure.

I looked into 996 GT3 sport seats for my boxsterS. I was warned to find some and sit in them to see if they were comfortable. Seems for the people they fit, they are wonderful, even on long trips, and for those they don't fit they can be a form of torture device.

Greg, that's good to know. Thanks.

As for comfort, my 'GT is used strictly for autox, DE and PCA get togethers only.

GT3 seats fitted straight in my GTS. Only modification was to trim a pin that was on the seat runner. I find them very comfortable but lack of adjustability would be a pain on longer trips. Cheers, Charles.

Hi Kiet!!

I like your avitar btw. I can't help with your question, but I have one for you? Do you still have the extra set of wheels that match the set on your car that we talked about at Sebring?? If so, I might still be interested in them for the wife's S4. She really loved yours.

Thanks!

Are you sure you have GT3 seats? Are they the very expensive racing seats that are not adjustable, and have holes for racing seat belts? 996 GT3's came with a variety of seats including those and 996 Sport seats which IMHO are a much better seat for a 928 that is not tracked, and they need quite a bit of modification. I have a set of those in my Godzilla and love them.

As far as I know they bolt in like in post#5 above. I considered them but the sport seats are better all around for me.
