Anyway he thinks he's the coolest person to ever walk on the face of the planet, always revving the V6 and spinning his tires. On a couple of occasions he's gotten behind me coming home from school and gets right on my tail, it's been very tempting to downshift to 2nd but I've controlled myself. Don't want to ride a bicycle to school. I just waved him on. After restoring my car it's just not worth it. In the end I've got the Porsche and he's got the Ford. Anyway it just so happens I was out at VIR one day and he also happend to be there. We went out on the track and I smoked his ***. My '82 just ran away from him on the straights and through the corners I just widended the gap even more. Lets just say he doesn't talk nearly as much trash as he use to... im pretty certain that any one of your cars would take his rustang on a straightaway, his engine put out 190hp 10 years ago, probably a good amount less, that essex v6 gets tired. your 928 is built pretty tight, and if any of your 16v cars has probably under 200,000 miles you should be still near your factory output. your s4 would smoke the f*ck out of even a GT.

It's a 3.8 ford. Just wait until his head gasket goes. You really can't say you've owned a 3.8 ford motor until the head gaskets go **** up.

If the engine is in good running condition, it will make just as much HP as it did 10 years ago. They don't degrade like a cheap bottle of wine. Stick to the fact and don't start making up stuff.

I had a 3.8L ford in my Thunderbird SC. Supercharged w/ 17lbs of boost, everything rebuilt and upgraded. The car was a beast w/ about 450 lbs of tq to the rear wheels. There are guys with 600 plus hp and the fast quy is running high 9's in the 1/4. That car spanks most big blocks and it is a 3.8L! Amazing.

They can be made to go plenty fast. That said the 928 is a superior car! It's balance and feel is so much better. I am in the hunt to get back to some better straight ahead acceleration from my 928. It has 4.5L so 350rwhp can be attained with boost and the car will have the power it should have.
