This is probably an experience of lifetime for Ross. I admire him for going on a such adventure. This trip will teach him about his own limits, about distances, about planning time and money, about different areas, different people, and much more.

It's much better than sitting at home and accumulating more stuff... he can always do that when he's older. But exploring the world is something you have to do when you're young, before you have a mortgage, children, and - god forbid - credit card or car payments that tie you down.

Way to go, Ross!!!

I have thought of doing a "Lap of America" in a 928, hopefully with a couple other 928s. It would be awesome stopping in on all the other 928ers around the country. And a little more comfortable than on a bike. I know my friend Rick would do it...

Throttle lock! I forgot about that. Great suggestion.

If you can't afford a full on one, you might try to track down one of these throttle rockers. Makes a workd of difference when you're pounding out the miles. Lets you flex your hands, and/or lay it on the bar without having to curl around the grip with pressure.

It's a $10 accessory, and I would tihnk most decent sized bike shops would have one.

Default Laptop power supply

Ross,
I stopped by the motel where you stayed in The Dalles today. I picked up your laptop charger. I'll send it to you if you'll give me an address. I also put a little in your PP account.

I found one of these in my toolbox before he left. Ross installed it day one on his jixxer sport-tourer.

You have a PM Louie, I'm in Colorado, I bought a universal laptop charger which was really expensive, I am going to return it tomorrow, I just wanted to get a charge on this thing so I could use it for awhile. Thank you so much Louie.

Thanks Bill, The Throttle Rocker is awesome, It really helps me relax a little bit, I've been doing alot of peg stands to stretch myself out, I am going to attempt some sort of makeshift seat to aid in my comfort. I am going to shoot for home in about 2 days maybe 3, I have to set a goal otherwise Im going to take all month. I cant afford hotels much longer either.

I really have to thank everyone that has contributed to this trip, I would not be able to do it without you guys, you guys are making this trip possible for me.

Ross: I don't think you should hurry this trip and ride while tired or worn out. Besides - I have said this before - you should take some time for sightseeing while you are passing by interesting places. After all, you don't know when you can visit them again.

But I do agree that you should set yourself a goal, and also let us know, if you need anything.

Do you have more people who you can visit and stay with on your way home? I'm sure that if you post your overnight destinations and dates (and stick to them), there will be lots of people here or in OT willing to help you out. I sure would, if I was on your route!

Unfortunately there aren't many listers left along my route, I am going to knock out the rest of colorado and kansas tomorrow and see where I end up.
