Rog,

What is that dash plaque supposed to look like? Is that "crest" supposed to be in that location? I don't know enough about the W editions of these cars...

I already had this one on my "watch List".
Looks to be all in order if a little worn - but then it has done 999,999 miles 8>)
All the correct bits of paper to say its a Weissach.
The Weissach badge came as an adhesive badge from Porsche in the Weissach envelope. Where you stick it is up to the dealer/owner. Center of the dash is the most used position.

Thanks for the update Rog! I knew I could count on you for all the right info on that car! I agree w/ you on the bit worn statement. After reading it I was expecting MUCH more and you KNOW the pics are hiding even more wear that we can't see!

overall its not to bad - I need to see pics of the DS bolster and the dash - all missing from the high res pictures 8>)
Could be worth $4 to 5k - lets see what happens to the bidding.

What is the "fuel Link" ? anyone know?

Is there anything special about a Weissach 5-speed?? Are they more or less rare than the automatics?? I'm looking #081, it has 69K miles, seller wants $10K, looked at it this morning and made a list of things that need to be fixed.

I like this line..."Where you stick it is up to the dealer/owner. ..." Only time will tell if there is anything "special" about any Weissach. However there are probably fewer 5 speeds....

Roger,

This car is local to us. If you need us to check it out just let me know.

BTW - I'm onto an '88 with a broken timing belt at 55k miles in update NY.

Anything I should know/look out for on an '88?

Dwayne,
If it is in really good condition - no rub strips and has the luggage + the original sticker and the other bits and pieces its worth $10k.
Do not listen to Jim as he is just jealous that the Weissach "Brown" is a better color than his car. 8>)
