OK..... Last year, I got branded as somewhat of a 928 heretic with "Whacking The Wing", so give me just a little space on this one before being flamed. I think Sterling and Roger are two good examples of some that felt a wingless 928 looked great also. A lot of 928 owners have invested BIG $$$$ in upgrading engines, and UPDATING their interiors and exteriors to the GTS standard, and then some, to say the least.
So...............If you have an supercharged OB, couldn't you rightfully re-designate it as a 928 "SC"? Or, if you take and put GTS fenders, mirrors and rear bumper cover on an S4, would/could it be an "S5"? Or perhaps a 928 GTB or 928 SE (Special Edition)? I'm sure that this sounds somewhat scandalous to some who hang out in this wonderfully awesome 928 cult forum, but it crossed my mind and thought I'd throw it out for comment. Ladies and Gentlemen, start your engines (and your thoughts)!

As long as you don't use something like SE that is already taken by a real model... Sport Edition (or the Brits version of the Club Sport or CS if you prefer)...
Also as long as you don't try to pass it off as something it is not...

I'll hijack this thread to ask if you're attending SIH.

A little off the subject, but I think 928s should have come in 2 basic options: a "comfort" and a "sport".
Comfort would be an automatic tranny, and normal everything including rear air and sunroof.
Sport would be 5 speed, lsd, sunroof delete, no rear air, no rear wiper, GT cams, more open exhaust, less sound deadening, wider wheels, stiffer suspension and sway bars, and options of rear seat delete, radio/ac delete and other stuff like a 911 RS america from the '90s.
Of course a dry sump design would have been nice...
These cars really do well with stiff suspension and wider rubber.
