Gear selector D bulb replaced, but still not working.
Pulled the pod, replaced faulty bulbs, D light on dash still not working. All other lights work fine. Any ideas? Transmission switch?

Update.......now have D light working, but no P or 2. Also just noticed my oil pressure gauge is showing 1.5 bar when the ignition is switched on without the car running. Alan, help! Checked all the bulbs and they are all good.

check the connections to the black connectors at the pod and the in spare tire well( Black connectors have about 6 pins and are flat ) For the oil pressure check the grounds you may be grounding through the oil pressure gauge or sender. The pod is aluminum and can lose its ground when its disconnected. Be4 very careful that one of the pod switches doesnt ground out on the pod best to do is disconnect the battery while the pods loose

Update again.....I now have all gear indicator bulbs except for '2', could this be an issue at the gearbox - switch out of adjustment? I have just had my box and torque converter rebuilt. Stripped the pod again, cleaned all connectors etc etc, but still have oil pressure showing approx 1 bar, when I start the car, pressure shows off the gauge - ie needle goes straight past 5 bar on idle. Any ideas before I reassemble? Pressure sender unit?

where does the pointer face when the key is off. its possible that you might have moved the needle and thus the strange readings, you might have to push the needle so it reads 5 bar when the engine is started

I think that you need to move the needle so it reads 5 bar when its cold. you can use a rag and a fork to remove the needle

So should the oil pressure show zero with the ignition switched on, but the car not started? I can't see how the needle could have moved - hard enough to get off as it is.

Thanks Alan. Further update - I started car and let it get up to temp, indicator stayed pinned to the top on idle never dropping. Searches seem to suggest sender - any way of checking sender before I dip into the wallet again....
Does the fact that the only bulb I no longer have is 2 suggest adjustment of the gearbox switch? Its at far end of the range so to speak.

Yes it could well be a transmission adjustment problem or switch alignment issues - you should take a look at the switch and do you have any other issues with trans selection? (of course I don't have one...) In the end not having "2" indication is a lot better than not having "D" right? - some might live with it until the next need for trans work...?

Thanks Alan, I've just had tranny rebuilt so I can only assume its a switch adjustment problem - car is due to go back in for an ATF change and check in a few hundred miles (part of the tranny rebuild service to iron out any faults) so i'll get them to give it a check. All gears work fine!
