Well, my car is finally home and I'm very happy =) I'm going to restore it with some mods along the way. Luckily for me I live very close to Paul Champagne his brown car is so gorgeous most beautiful 928 I've ever seen!

I plan to start with the mechanical here is some stuff I'd like to do:
RMB
GTS Brakes
Fix all mechanical problems
Timing Belt and WP job

I hope you gusy can give me some suggestions

I washed it today today it was filthy

Putting GTS brakes on an S4 is pointless unless you are planning on a TON of track time! HUGE WASTE OF MONEY IMHO!

I have S4 brakes on my S4 and that car has more than 10,000 track miles and I have NEVER, EVER had a brake issue w/ that car. Put a 911 Turbo rear brake bias bar in and you will get more balanced braking and actually put your rear brakes to use for a change.

Oh, my race car??? S4 brakes! Spend your hard earned money on EVERYTHING else before you bother w/ GTS brakes.

Gotta agree with Mr. James here.

Your brakes are fine sty3x. Keep us updated on what you do.

Get the basics down and taken care of first, then work on the upgrades. I'm sure you will be impressed with the results. It's the tip of the iceberg buddy.

Your too young to worry about brakes. Use your extra cash on college or picking up the Ladies!

Polish that paint, you'll be amazed how nice it will look when you're done.

Good luck and congrats!

Hard to tell from your pics, but is this a sunroof delete car? If so, seems fairly rare, and so are deleted rub strips.

Forget the GTS brakes, just repaint and refurb your S4 brakes with StreetHawk Pads and Cast-Drilled Zimmerman rotors. I have an S4 and that bastard stops really good. Spend that money on strippers and beer.

If you car needs the TB/WP, make that a priority, because if that belt breaks you are screwed, DEEPLY.

An RMB and X-pipe really make good power and sound, IMO.

Oh, and post better pictures tomorrow. The ones you posted above looks like your non-camera hand was busy....

The 928 GT - with the same brakes as the S4 - was the reference for engineering the brake system on the McLaren F1. That should tell you something...

With all the parts where throwing at these beasts my answer would be "NO"

But some people do crazy things like that. Usually for performance reasons and not just looks though.

I just love these kinds of facts! Nicole what other tidbits do you have stored away about our 928s?

As far as brake bling, just paint them red, front and back and add some holed rotors, front and back. Unless someone is very familiar with the GTS brakes and their relative size difference, most cannot tell the difference between them and S4 brakes. I just added holed rotors with stock, black S4 brakes and people really notice them. Your wheels will also hide the brakes and the red peeking through will draw attention to them.

Sweet looking 928 too!

Have fun,
Constantine
