Wait... Someone said 20" were bad for the suspension? And if I use slimer tires? I means, I currently have 4 x 17" * 7".
If I go for 20", I will have 1.5" more on radius. So, it's probably possible to find 1.5" slimer tires... mine are already plenty fat like that.
Thanks I now have a migraine

Also never post here for opinions if you can't take it. I learned that from one of my first posts.

What you want is a wheel/tire assembly that is close to the original diameter of the stock wheel/tire assembly. Typically you can vary by up to +/- 3% without having adverse effect on handling or the ABS. (From the picture I'm guessing your car does not have ABS.) That means if you move up to 17" or 18" or even 20" the tires need to be of a smaller aspect ratio to maintain the stock overall diameter. Third, you MUST have the correct offset on the wheels or they will rub on the inside or outside of the fenders and/or restrict turning the car.

This forum is more than willing to help you with what will fit correctly, how it looks is up to you.
How is the rims size mesure? With or without the lids? With it was 17", but I guess without it was 16". So my error on that.

Is the overall circonference have to stay the same? Andrew's excel take into account change of the speed from bigger rims on the instrument...

I can take it.
I wasn't expecting opinion... that "crud".

Force me to step back to think about it 3-4 more times. My ego can take that... Not my wallet.

Tire Dimensions explained
The Plus Concept

Look into those. Later cars had, among other choices, 225/45-17 and 255/40-17 staggered-width tires. There are lots of used rims floating around in these sizes, just check the offsets. These are essentially a "plus one" size upgrade compared to your phone dials and should fit with some clearance. Going larger than that means that things get tight, offsets become more critical, etc. I think you have to start moving sheetmetal around to get over 255 in front or 295 in the back, but I'm not positive about those numbers. It will depend on the offset. Lots of much more knowledgeable people around here can help you find the limits with tire fitment, if that is what you're after.

Thanks! Nice reading...

One last question... The offset is in which way? I guess it's away from the car?

Whatever floats your boat...but they look like they came off some kids CRX back last century. Personally I think Porsche chose well with phone dials for the OBs and flats for the S4s.
