LOL! You guys are BAD! I saw it run in '04 on the way back from OCIC, and I saw it run about 6+ years before that when he brought it do Austin for a 928 GTG!

Just be prepared to cover the passenger seat with some sort of dirt barrier. I had perfectly clean clothes on and he made me get two beach towels from Roger before I could get close to sitting in it. :rollseyes

I still say to put everything you have in the Gold one and get it running. You can drive w/o a dash. Hell, look at Curry's cars.
This will at least get you 7/8ths of the way there and you can drive it.

My car decided to have a little hiccup on Friday as I was trying to drive home. She died while I was about to get on 35E. Well, not died exactly, but lacked power for a moment. In 100+ degree heat, and I just had a fotofacial (which means my face was already burnt)....I was NOT happy. I pulled her into a restaurant parking lot to see what the heck was going on, called Sean told him he may need to come follow me home. Within minutes Roger and Sterling both called offering help
, I like those guys! I started her back up, and got to Roger's without any problems. The hammer revealed no problems. The consensus is that she is mad at me for mentioning I'd like to sell her. She got back at me by making me have to go to Roger's with a not so pretty face
Those German women are brutal!

Was working on my center console stack (A/C, warning mini panel) last week and was ) for 2 in getting the 2 fastening screws in without dropping and losing the tiny washers.
So the 5W bulb in my head goes bleep.
Small machine screw. Tiny washer. And a dab of clear silicone sealant.
Went to Lowe's to pick up a bag of #6 flat washers.
Put tiny dab on the screw to hold the flat washer on. Re-attach the panels into center console. Success.
I'll find out if next time I need to get the screws out and they don't it's because some nimwit glued the screw into the center console.

I've found that using tape works great with that stuff, and it's not as permanent as glue.
Had a guy customer yesterday smile and say he'd never seen that and thought it was a great idea.
The simple things.
