Sorry bro, I had to take care of something in the house that was very important.

I just woke up and missed a call from Chuck. Don't know when or where the drive is. But as soon as I actually wake up, I might no more. Get your *** up here.

Hey guys, found out yesterday that my mother in law has throat cancer which necessitated an all nite drive in the 928 from Northern California to Lake Havasu, AZ to see her, meet with doctors, etc. The car performed perfectly but if any of you are the praying type put in a good word please as we are hoping for the best but fearing the worst...

Thanks guys, the news was actually pretty good, surgeon thinks he got it all, though she still has to deal with chemo and radiation and she has some other issues which make this problematic. Thanks for the kind words, we have to head home tomorrow, hopefully the trip home is as uneventful as the drive out was....

Enjoy the drive back, I hope it will relax your mind and body. I know it usually does for me when crap is not going the best.

Then there are days like today when we take a short, but spirited drive. Sterling, Chuck, and I met up for a brunch in N. Dallas and kicked around some talk and tried to look cool next to our cars.

Then there was the drive on the turnpike that was fun.

It's about as boring a drive as you can imagine, 500 miles mostly flat and straight with the exception of the 60 mile drive from the Mojave Desert to Bakersfield. We managed to do it in 7 hours last night including fuel stops, but I imagine Sunday afternoon traffic won't be nearly as forgiving as our late nite / early morning drive was. All I'm hoping for is no reason to break out any of the tools I brought with...

Sounds like the perfect kind of road for doing what the 928 was designed for. High speed, comfort driving.

Nice!

I've got a 911 version to do similar with.
