The wing is waiting some special lettering before it ships.

I would love to run this lawnmower on a track against one of those backwards setup you're running. That could be very interesting; maybe you'd be eating mulch?

Hmmm, a rear-biased balance seems to be the ticket, still after 40+ years. Noticed the GT standings in ALMS lately? Seems to me the Flying Lizard 45 car is at the lead in standings and won 5 in a row along the way.

Farnsbacher-Loles is doing pretty well in the Rolex Series as well. 50/50 and V-8's don't ensure performance.

I will defer to the gentleman on turf. These backwards cars are not very good on grass. Now asphalt......

We're fine-how are you? We'll come back at some point, I just don't know when.....we've been both travelling an awful lot, and weekends home seem to be in short supply!

did well yesterday, really pissed off my archrival buddy nicely ("I can't believe I got beat on a track like this by a damn 928"), so the improvments really helped. the front sticks very nicely now, rear still seems a bit loose, so I'm gonna have to mess w/that a bit. maybe loosen up a sway bar or lower the rear end a bit.

but at 1:29.65 vs the 8 or so leading 911's (very well prepared carreras, some turbos, and a GT3, all w/slicks) running at 1:25.55-1:27.30, I was far from FTD. I did close the gap a bit though - they usually stomp me by 5-7 sec on courses like this.

about 90 cars there. a large 944 crowd, some amazingly fast - one was pushing 28lbs of boost! was a very large, hilly parking lot/2nd gear only for my u boat, with some tricky downhill/off camber 180 & 120 deg stuff, linked 90's and a pretty fast slalom section. not exactly a 928 friendly place like willow, but more open than most other AX courses. weather was fantasic - low 80's, light breeze.

met another 928 - a nice red S4 from San Diego. it brought along it's driver, Tom? nice guy. think he says he does about 1 AX/month down there. car looked pretty low, might have had some khumos, but was in a street stock class. think he was running around 1:33.56 or so.

I called a guy's bentley a chrysler 300, hahaha... that went over well.

a fun day for sure.

WTF homeys? Almost a 2 1/2 day weekend!

Gotta spend Monday morning getting ready for next week's trip, but it's all good. I'll get some "Vitamin P" and finish getting ready for some track time @ Fontana on 9/13!

you lucky dog! I was signed up but it conflicts w/a Z8 AX in santa barbara on the same day. figured I could use the points and some tight track practice before tangling again w/the OC/SD PCA ninjas.

I did track tours on that course last 2 years for the porschefest, it's a blast! perfect for a 928

got some final suspension tweaks planned for tomorrow - going to drop the rear about an inch, and maybe loosen up the rear anti roll bar to help settle down some oversteer.

got some ice cold guness stout in the fridge, so I think I'm ready...

have fun/take some pics!!

You're right, that would be a great track for a 928.
