Sounds more like it might be a brain failure mode on the car getting 2 mpg if turning it off and on gives a temp fix...

YMMV (how timely and relevant!)

If those roads were in my back yard I would have some serious miles on my car. No better way to enjoy a shark than some curvy mountain roads on a clear day with no traffic. Dream come true!

Thanks for letting us live vicariously through the pictures.

Kiddin, have a great trip, thanks for posting the pics! I'll keep my fingers crossed for big shady tents, cool breezes and maybe some of those pool-misters for the NE folks!

You don't know how true that is. I went to SITM last year and drove hundreds of twisty miles. I live in flat *** FL and the most exciting curve you can find in a road here is the on ramp to the interstate. The dragon drive and SITM showed me the true capabilities of these cars and gave me a whole other appreciation for mine.

Great pictures!

Blind entrance-- Why is there a sign at the McD's drive-through announcing that there's a Braille menu available?

(blind folks reading this, please forgive my lake of taste and foresight.)

Well its 818pm out here on the west coast and i just called the front desk of the hotel. Apparently there arent any damn pizza places open that deliver at this hour? Its dark out... Roll up the sidewalks in Banner Elk!!
From experience, I know a few of you guys would probably have the late night munchies so i was going to have a couple of pies delivered. Sorry.

Its a been a good day at home...worked the car in the spirit of things...but sure wish i could have made it.
