Does anyone have any suggestions?
You have to realize that no matter who makes something or rebuilds it regardless of where it came from, problems DO occur. i know it's not what you or others want to hear, but why walk on eggs over this? You have an issue that needs to be corrected. Sounds like you have narrowed it down to the TC or TT. Wasting your money sending it back to Edge is not going to change anything except make your wallet lighter.
If I recall, you checked the flex plate and other parts in the bell housing and they seemed to be fine, The next most logical thing to do is swap the TT. If it is not the TT, then you have your answer on that part of the puzzle.
Seriously, it won't hurt Jim's feelings if it truly is the TT.

One thing I was going to try, but I think it is a long shot, it to replace the clamp bolt at the rear clamp and make sure the drain plug on the TC is at the drain (down) position when at TDC.
I should be receiving the bolt this week.

If you want to move it for the sake of convenience when draining, great. But it's a balanced assembly, don't expect to fix the vibration by doing this.

Keith...I'm pretty much down to the TT I just want to make sure there isn't something else I'm overlooking. I've talked with Roger (who supplied me with the TT) and Jim and both have said they'd stand behind it and do whatever is needed. While I'm not totally green when it comes to wrenching, we all have to keep in mind (including me) that this is the first one of these I've done so I'm referring to the pros to make sure there isn't something I've missed.

No disrespect intended...in any direction or to anyone. Knowingly, it is sometimes difficult to interpret what is going on in the minds of folks when they post to a thread. We all see a lot of "***** footers" so we all need a kick in the coveralls from time to time to just get the job done..me included!
In respect to the TC drain position. Another thought, rather than go through the trouble of TDC alignment, is just do the one time twist and turn, until you find the drain. Then either remember the balancer position or just make a mark on the forward facing surface...like "TC". .
My 85 is at 10 degrees.

I guess that is what I'm down to. I emailed Roger on it. Part of the problem is that I have absolutely no time to deal with this until after the first of the year and I have a TB/WP job to do on the 85 sometime soon. It never ends...

No change, everything is stock. The car has a vibration at idle in park or neutral and goes away when put in any gear. Vibration comes in again about 1900 rpm and will rumble the whole car a bit if you stay there a while. Goes away again at 2000+rpm.
I haven't noticed the vibration coming back at speed.

Daniel make a test, do some starts and heavier stops see if you can feel a thud or some such thing when the car stops, if so then the vibration damper may be sliding back and forth in the TT.
And it can slide the TT bearing out of place and this could cause a vibration
