So your just a parrot then? if you heard it, then it must be true? He was referring to the race weekend, alas, they didnt win!

So what about Lewis and his 4 wins?

Funny how you are now so dismissive of your incorrect facts and figures. Point is, if you dont know, THEN DONT SAY ANYTHING!

As for being off topic, this is becoming a much better thread then exhausts AGAIN! Seriously if you want exhaust help, hit the button that says "search".

with Ryan, it's nothing personal against him, but anything said about domestics just sets him off. He will say as much. If I say anything about foreign he still goes off.....

It's his opinion, and that's OK.

And yes Ryan, it was David Hobbs who said Ferrari was struggling this year.....not my assessment---as if it really matters.

so what is really your point to this?

if I correctly quoted the man, who probably knows a heck of a lot more about F1 than you ever will, what's your beef with me quoting him.....

Yes, Lewis has had four wins this year, including Monte Carlo.

So what is your point about the facts as they are?

this is really pointless Ryan.......

Ever notice that all the girls on the E-Harmony ads have horse teeth? Ahh but I digress. I did want to hear about someone's experience with X, no cats, small resonators and RMB. Does that combo make it too harsh, or raspy? I'm thinking about getting an X and dc'ing the cats. Like the idea of a meatier sound but don't want a mexican vegetable truck either. G

Ryan relax, Russ made a nice post (largely correct except for the rev limiter) and you jumped down his throat. That was uncalled for. To the question, F1 engines sound the way they do because of the high revs and the straight exhaust - if you slowed them down they sound like a pair of 4-cylinders. The Carrera GT sounds incredible and I have no idea on the basics of that engine, but wow. Street Ferraris have that kind of scream and it comes from a few basics - lower displacements, higher revs and most importantly a flat-crank design and a merged exhaust. We don't have the flat crank, but a merged single will give you a higher-pitched multi-tonal sound that I personally like better. Evidence suggests that a X-ed dual exhaust is better for performance (good singles are close according to Mr. Ott), but the sound of a single is much more complex. Search around and you can find sound clips, and a lot of data on Ott's site.

Listen to this....then get some Elgin cams with some overlap on them.

Dennis Kao's recently refurbed motor - too bad there was so much traffic. Plus it's not broken in yet, so he can't run it too hard.

My point, my point is you have no clue what your talking about and are just a parrot blabbering off hearsay. You dont have a clue.

4 Wins huh, really, name em please?

NO LEWIS HAMILTON DOES NOT HAVE 4 WINS! He now has 2, do you not know how to add? 1 plus 1 is 2 not 4. He won the Season Opener in Melbourne and now in Monte Carlo! The previous 4 races have been split by Ferrari's Massa and Raikkonen. That should prove to you that Ferrari also isnt struggling if they won 4 of the last 5 races and 4 of 6 overall, and look at the constructors standings.

Please, stop making posts to which you have no fricking clue!

Your going to end up telling someone on here something you "heard" and then your going to screw someone up because you really have no idea what your talking about. Stick to peterbuilts and your beloved Hemi's.

Sounds a lot like Carl's mountain runner. Is that essentially the tone I might expect with my proposed setup? If so, I think that's a good way to go. Raspy yes, but I like the way it sings up thru the revs. G

yep, it's just Ryan being Ryan again....and again.....and again.

if one was to go back through the archives and pull up every little bit that someone got wrong or even slightly off, the website would collapse.....

Ryan is no shinning example of exact facts and figures either....just takes the opportunity to attack someone for minor errors, or opinions he disagrees with. It is well documented that he, personally, would be happy to remove from the forum if he could, just because he doesn't appreciate some of the things that I do.

so I quoted a guy on TV and the comments he presented, and Ryan disagrees with. next thing you know, Ryan will be calling the great David Hobbs an idiot. In the end of things, who cares?

Seems like a lot of wasted energy on such a small issue. It's just another attempt by the few to run off someone they don't care for.

I really would like to enjoy the forum, as would many others, but this attacking one another is very tiresome.....very childish.

CARE TO NAME THE 4 WINS?

I just love how you completely ignore this time and again.

When i make a mistake as i have done, I am very quick to acknowledge it and correct it. This is something you are apparently incapable of. Thats my problem with you, 1) you dont know what the hell your talking about 2) when its been pointed out to you that your incorrect you refuse to own up which leads me to believe your incapable of learning. Take some ownership of your posts, if your going to post, know what your posting, stop with the parroting and the nonsense posts.

Again, can you please tell me the name of the 4 races Lewis won this year? I'm waiting...........
