Default SoCal: Multi-fluid flush GTG, May 17

I have a GT. I have never changed automatic transmission fluid in my life. Apparently this doesn't bother perryS4 (Ron), whose tranny we will service on Saturday at my place. An oil change and potentially a PSD flush will also occur. Free beer! Starting mid-morning. Feel free to stop by and watch the ensuing hilarity.

Aw come on, it's a Porsche. Your Porsche. Your Porsche 928. What could go wrong?

Don't worry, I've got the writeup, the torque specs, the tools, a fluid pump. Hell, I've got an IR thermometer to make sure we're at the right temp when checking fluid levels post-fill. And if we get stuck, Rennlist is open on Saturdays.....

Right?

Ron said he'd be here 9'ish. And if he chickens out (comes to his senses? ) I will at long last be installing my PorKensioner. Otherwise, that'll be Sunday.

Aren't bachelor weekends great?

Don't let me keep you from installing the tensioner. You should start it and I will help you when you need it and you can yell directions to me from under the hood.

Ron-

There's the small matter of only having one set of LiftBars. It's no big deal, there's no timetable to get the Porkensioner on. I may start Saturday night, or Sunday, or Monday night, no big deal. The kids are gone until Wednesday night.

Rob--

Liftbars may not be thw eapon of choice if Ron's car will be on the sloped driveway. Car needs to be pretty level to get the fluid level in there correct.

Saturday evening is the Pcars Outback gathering in Asuza/Covina/whatever. Need to be done in time to get washed and up there for that show too. I'll know in the next day or two if I'm going to be here for these events.

Bob-

I figured we'd put Ron's car in the garage on bars so that we can make it as level as possible. (I assume a bubble level on the frame rails is good enough?) There's lots of your beverage of choice in the fridge for you if you can make it.

I hope it's not bubble-level sensitive. I kinda put all the jack-stands at the same height in the garage and called it good. So far, so good after more than 10 years of soft-shoe'ing it in SoCal traffic.

Still no word on travel this weekend.
