...gotta leave room for all the other new engine bits

7 pounds less mass - will that make up for the constantine-clamp?

Hi there,

what a pity! I signed up here, just to read this interesting story from the beginning and I was curious about the results (dyno etc.) and here the story suddenly ends.

Sorry to ask you this: How did the adventure end?

Thanks

Stefan

After a whole bunch of swapping parts around and doing a whole bunch of R&D....we're waiting for some new bits to be made. Seems we've found the absolute limits of some stock pieces....

Sounds like you're talking about the intake here. What have you in store?

If it hit the limit with stock parts, must have made more than 500 rwhp!

WOW...can't wait for the results!!

Shawn, Greg --

Do you have any dyno results on the intake manifold porting? To my knowledge, nobody has ever made a documented gain from modifying the stock intake manifold. The spacers didn't do anything. Extrude hone lost some horses. Etc. In case you make some real gains, many would be interested in hearing about those. I am not expecting you to give away the recipe of HOW you did it, just whether it worked or not.

Best, Tuomo

Here's a nice lurk-bump of a 3 year old thread to see what's happened since December of 2008. Dyno? Durability issues? Most curious.

Here is a 5 year bump to ask for any dyno results on this build or feedback from the owner. If it is contained in another thread how about posting a link?

The original vehicle this engine was installed in was involved in a bad accident (no injury). The crash broke the engine block.

The engine was disassembled and re-assembled into another engine block. It lives on as a daily driver with 10's of thousands of miles on it.

My continuous development of these stroker engines has resulted in reliability that is equal to the original stock engine. Torque and horsepower continue to improve, as I make gains in airflow, effiency, and exhaust. Emissions continue to decline, as effiency increases. The only downside is the cost, which is somewhat fixed, due to the extreme quality of the pieces used to build these engines.

Can you ballpark the cost so we can get an idea? $10K? $15K? $20K?

'Base' price is about $40K, there's a breakdown of what my costs were in this thread from 2011, post # 55:
