Saw one the other day and I'm not sure how true it was.

SHP RET. and it had a State Trooper license frame.

Great minds think alike... I always thought about getting "MNVWN" or something to that effect.

I was tempted to get

GR8 928,

but

931 FUN

on my 924 Turbo attracted too much of the wrong attention, so I surrendered the plates, and prefer to just go a little more anonymously....

When I was considering plates, I did notice that "NOT 911" was free in my state.. was tempting!

I'm happy to remain completely innocuous for now despite the fact that 928SE is available in my state and i am the only person in the state with a 928SE. edit I'm the only person in the country with a driveable 928SE

The best i ever saw was PMTGRL on a beater Merc that I came close to buying as an island run around car (when I lived on a very small island). Guaranteed to prevent road rage incidents

How about the old Seinfeld episode where Kramer buys these?

Here are a few I thought of just for fun... BTW, Michigan just switched to an 8 character plate fro the normal one, but still restrict personalized to 7 letters.

That reminds me of a plate I saw on a flag-ship Benz years ago... "WAS HIS"

I tried PORSCHE, POURSHA, (I own bars), POORSHA (Hell, I own a 928), looked at maybe MY928V8, GREATV8 and bunch of others before finally settling on FUNFAST. That was until the City Chief of Police (who is a friend) said it might not be the best idea in a strange town. Keith, you made the call on that one! So I ordered this week: VLOCITI. We'll see!

I investigated a fatal motorcycle accident a few years ago, and the deceased owner had B8B8B8 on his tag.

It was real hard to read from any distance greater than 10 foot, but easily read when the bike was on it's side and the rider was being put in a body bag.

His running from the law days came to an abrupt end....

GAZ beat me to GRT WHT.

However, I would have spelled it GR8 WYT (using the "8" as a reference to our car of course).
Or, GR8 WHT

Dave Hendrickson has the coolest plate/frame combo I've seen, hopefully he'll post it here.
