I really wanted to go with DER HAI - not only for the 928 reference, but also because I love Jaws, but I saw that another Rennlister already had it.
But I had another good idea... (look left)

Actually, there have been some studies (independent I'm sure) of the combination of certain letters and numbers making it almost impossible to decipher or remember what the plate actually says. I think this only appeals to a certain few out there that like to live beyond the lines drawn in the sand "by the people".
Also, to my knowledge, many states have 7 characters available for their plates while many (like Oregon) have 6...changes your thinking.
I remember there was a list/thread at one point that had at least 50 or so suggestions for 928 tags. Don't know where it is.
I had two PP for my cars in so Cal. One was SCAL928 and the other was POWRCHE. Being that I don't live there anymore, they are up for grabs in the state of CA.
These days, I kinda of lean towards the generic assigned plate. Makes one wonder a lot more if they see a hot car with no defining tags. Adds to the mystery of the car. JMHO

My Posche Owners Club competition number which I proudly display on the old very brown 1980 928 at the track is ..... 911 Theory being the corner workers would report the " 911 car " , "the brown 911? "there is no brown 911" The 944 the brown one " "there is no brown 944" ..... the confusion might be worth another lap or two before I get black flagged.
