Officially the tag reads PORCHA The $ sign does not count as a letter in the official sense.

This may help me one day if some calls my plate in as PORSCHA. Hopefully, whoever has this plate will not be inconvenienced too much.

I read a few years ago that NJ (and probably the other states) have a department dedicated to trying to figure out personalized plate requests to see if they're inappropriate. They won't allow 3M TA3 for this reason .

There is an NC plate that reads "KISS ***" The story behind this is, it's on the husband's car and his wife's initials are ***.

Mine is PANZER9. I wanted BLKSHRK- already taken. I thought about PREDATR,as in Shark- But I didn't want Chris Hansen knocking on my door.
I also liked BAKNBLK, and RSKYBIZ- all taken. I like PANZER.

Not sure what to do with the Shark... registration coming due in June...
