Very cool. Which car will you be bringing Anthony?

Cool, I'll check with Adam and we need to see if anyone else can commit. We need to hit six guaranteed attendees.

YOU HAD BETTER DO A COAST DOWN TEST!!!!

I measured about 20hp at 150mph and 10hp loss at 80mph. (4th gear dyno run)

if you are really bold, try and tighten up the anchor straps and see what that costs you . we are thinking 10hp is easy to chew up by sinching the straps down a click or two!

Mark can you elaborate. I am used to using dyna pacs which don't require strapping the car down or eat power the way you are talking.

Thanks

I have never done a Dyno run on the GTS I think it would be good place to start.

I might be interested in 2 spots assuming I can make the date. He is just down the road from my house so I could easily swap cars. I haven't had a chance to run a dyno run on the turbo since I did some exhaust mods. She dynoed at 430bhp before and it is much stronger now. I would expect it to be at about 450bhp or more.

NICE!

I'm looking forward to it. Once I hear back from Adam on the date we'll take a poll and see who's definitely in. We may have to pick a different spot for the lunch part if he's booked on the 12th and the 19th, but it should still be cool.

Anyone else for July 12th or 19th? $60 for four pulls is a great deal!

This is going to be lots of fun! I'm thinking maybe I'll have Pandora re-dynoed too, because she's back to stock now, but still holds the 78-79 cams. It would be very interesting to see what the difference was on that mod alone, not in conjunction with supercharging.

Depending on what comes up on the dyno, we might swap the 78's back to stock afterwards and re-dyno. But maybe we'll learn something new and interesting instead!

So if you and Kevin are in for two, and Anthony is in for two, that means we just need me and Adam for the even half dozen. Anyone else will be a bonus.

When will you know if you want to run both?

Anthony, how about you? When will you know if you have other commitments? I can commit to either Saturday for my car.

We're good any Saturday in July or August, not counting the July 4th holiday weekend (I'm sure TT is closed then too ).

I think it's a pretty safe bet we'll be doing at least one of our cars, but I can't commit to the two of them until it's a lot closer and we see who's feeling good and is still on the road. LOL.

After all, these ARE 928's we're talking about!

ok - I checked with Apryl and we are free both weekends. For the past several years, we've gone to the Pittsburgh Vintage Grand Prix the third weekend of July, but earlier this year my friend sold his Elva Formula Junior and mine is not race-ready yet (my goal is next season).

GTG and BBQ in Freehold, NJ after the dyno pulls.

Bad news for me. I am booked every weekend in June. The only day I have free is this Saturday the 14th.

I have all of July free except the 19th and 20th. I would have to look into August dates.

Let me know what everyone else is thinking.

Well, you're in luck, Cobalt, because June is out, and we're now looking at the two middle weekends of July.

Which is better for you? 7/12 or 7/19?

I am in for the 12th. The 19th is my sons 10th birthday and we will be at Velocity 17, he has been practicing on the driver simulator everyday since he found out we are having a party for him there. He really scares me how good he is at both the simulator and the karts.

I am hoping the rest of you can make it on the 12th also.

The 12th it is!

OK, who else is in, I think we need one more. I've got:
Kevin and Leslie: 1 car (maybe 2?)
Adam and Apryl: 1 car
Anthony: 2 cars
Me: 1 car

Smokiemon944, mr. piff, Toofast928, ttadict, art_z, potsiewebber, flott leben? Anyone else?

Anthony, I've got to get my kids up there to that carting place. That sounds like lots of fun. Do you have to set it up ahead of time or can people just show up and go out there? Do you need to bring anything like your own helmet?
