I'm kinda thinking it's maybe not such a good idea to cinch down tighter than normal. But I too will be happy to monitor the phenomenon with Mike to the extent that anything reveals itself with the various cars. Ok?

Mike, I'm happy to assist in any way I can, of course.
AAAHHH!! Ok, I take it back, you can go first.

Thanks for your help on this.

So what is the proper way to strap these cars down so nothing gets damaged?

Don't worry, Kevin will watch everyone else's cars too. Main thing is NOT to strap on to the control arms!!

I didn't mean to scare anyone -- it's sometimes a challenge to figure out the right thing to tie to, but they now have some 928 experience after doing ours three or four times already, and with Kevin's guidance, this shouldn't be an issue going forward.

I'm just mentioning this to Mark to explain why maybe no one really wants to try this for him.

There was a video posted of them Green Bay boys? trying to dyno a high HP shark.
Had a few strapping lads sit in the rear hatch area to keep the rear axle planted.

Default New Date!!

Ok, guys....bad news. 7/12 is out. I got a call back about an hour ago that TT's owner has a brother getting married that weekend, and there are no other guys available to come in and strap cars down for us, so they can't do that weekend.

Next choices are 7/19, which we already know Cobalt can't make, or the following weekend 7/26. I have both reserved at the moment, and get first dibs on whichever day we want.

So we need to start a new round of who's available when??

Ouch!

Ok, Anthony, can you make the 26th? I don't want to exclude anyone if we can help it. Maybe I need to start a new thread with the dates in the title?

I think that's a good idea, Mike....we might want to plot what days in August are good too, in case the 26th doesn't work out?

Well, on the bright side, I'll have at least another week or so to get my intake back together...

Yeah it looks good for the 26th. Whew, I was getting worried there. Guess I can go the ALMS event at LRP now. Not sure I can bring the turbo on the 26th but can substitute it with the C2. I have a big double Concours event 8/9 and 8/10 and it will be up on blocks getting cleaned.

hope it is not too hot that day. late July can be tough.

Ah, cool. Yeah I'm going to have to get my AC working. If you can commit to 7/26 for two cars (?) then I'll check in with Adam before posting another thread. If he can make it we're almost there again.

EDIT: got the date right this time, 7/26

I'll get 2 cars there somehow. Would have loved to dyno the turbo but i could use some charts on the C2. I figure it is putting down about 245 to the wheels. Not quite the spectacle the turbo is but the C2 is a fun car.

Well, at least if you bring that one I won't be low man on the totem pole! (I hope). Of course if you average your two together you may still come up higher than mine...
