Finally someone else (soupcan928) noticed the Buick mirrors. I have been trying to find a close match to the later style mirrors, and of all the cars I have seen, the late model buicks appear to be the closest to me. They have to be cheap, probably powered if needed and are stalk mounted on the door. Has anyone tried them?

Hey Xlot, Thanks for letting me know about the other post on this! I did a search first but it
didn't come up because the title of the thread was spelled wrong "Areo". I'll write to Terra-Pistris and
ask them to correct it.

I just was driving my other car - the S2000, and I glanced at the mirrors - they may work as well - and I know they are available in CF.

This is a 99 Olds 88, same as the buick. Mount is too short to cover holes and angle of door might be wrong also. Not a bad looking mirror though.

thought of this post today when i was passed by a new tiberon "sp?" they are a cross between our flag mirrors and gts mirrors.
and the mounting angle looks close to that of the 928.

If they come from the Ultra rare RS2 then assume the cost a fortune. At least more then the Porsche ones are.

Sorry, but am i the only person that thinks Porsche parts are relatively cheap?

Those RS2 mirrors look pretty much exactly like 928/968 aero mirrors. I wouldn't be surprised if they were actually the same part number.

considering the RS2 was built by Porsche (or designed by them, or both, i forget) i don't doubt it. They probably use a different base or something.

Funny I used to think the RS2 was a really cool looking car at one time. WOW has that thing aged! It looks like its from the 80's not the 90's, Not a big fan of that thing anymore.

RS4 avant, now thats a bitchin car, saw one of those in Lucerne, the fenders front and rear were awesome!

I think considering the aero mirrors are by Porsche, are electric, have heat & memory -they are a screaming deal as is...

I realize its a lot compared to a Ford - but compared to the relative new prices of the cars its not a bad deal at all...

As a previous Audi 90 owner who lusted after the RS2 like many others, I can tell you with a fair amount of certainty that the RS2 mirrors, turn signals, fog lights, brakes discs/calipers, and wheels are actual Porsche parts with Porsche part numbers. My understanding is that the mirrors are the same anf the bases are Audi parts to match the door angle. Poeple who converted Coupe Quattros to RS2 specs used 911 mirrors and ordered the bases from Audi at insane prices. The fogs and turn signals were super expensive too, never found out if they were more than what Porsche charged though.
