The car I learned to drive a 5 speed in was a yellow 1985 928 and have always kept my eye out for a yellow S4 or later. That would be my ultimate 928.

So yes, a yellow S4 or GTS would interest me greatly.

Perhaps we can get a 928 gtg planned for the greater Houston area and track down the elusive owner
and invite him / her for an info (read: drool fest) meet?

Just sayin' -- there's a lotta, lotta sharks around Houston, waiting for someone to 'get-er-dun' and organize a weekend type event
(or heck -- a weekend DAY for starters!)... I bet there are more 928 owners in the Houston area than around DFW!

As I have said before -- I am more than willing to help facilitate a gtg, and will even drive one of my sharks and attend, as scheduling permits,
but local peeps need to step up to da plate!
Daymon66, IIRC was trying to rally some interest a bit ago.

OK, that's my 'rant' as I step off the soapbox... Just a mid-thread hijack...
As you were - in the hunt for the elusive 928...

Hey Erkka - you fellow night hawk!

I am certainly up for Houston GTG, but as far as my Euro showing up--it ain't going to happen......

(Then again...if you wanted to help pull the motor, we could do a tech day on it.........this paint job thing is really getting out of hand)

Easy to find and surprised you guys are taking 4 pages to figure it out. Try the DMV, Auto shops, local PCA, the 928 parts suppliers.... just to name a few of the obvious ones. There are tons of ways to find this car.

I am sure the owner would love waking up one morning to a horde of 928 owners at his front gate banging on it with wrenches and ratchets demanding to see this now mythical yellow GTS.

Sadly i could totally see the above happening!

OK, sorry about FIN E=Spain and S=Sweden. Not sure if you understand/read Norwegian, but most Finns speak Swedish, don't you?
Here's a link to a Norwegian page with all nationality codes:

Hey Erkka:

You really need to get out more... Sweden is not that far, but when I was there they had "S" in the blue area on their Euro plates. In this case, it obviously did not stand for Stuttgart...

"E" is the abbreviation of "Espagna"

I wonder, if anybody here knows what "CH" stands for?

CH=Confoederatio Helvetica. The Latin formal name of Switzerland, Confoederatio Helvetica is derived from the Helvetii, an ancient Celtic people in the Alpine region

My only defence is that it only take few hours to drive through Sweden on the way down.

I really wanted to go to Sweden, I hear Stockholm is amazing but damn it really is far! I thought i would settle for Copenhagen but that too was nearly 8-10 hours via train from The Netherlands. I would love to spend time in Denmark, Sweden, and Finland, they look like amazing places!
