PLEASE HELP....PO modified wiring?

My bad...I had the voltmeter set wrong...I do have power to H7 as well. I went ahead and ran the R/B wire in to H6.....ALL IS WELL! Cluster is back up and working. Now I will see if there is a drain on the battery....that would be THE ONLY reason I could see someone going to that trouble......

We'll keep you up to date. THANKS Dave and Bill for your help.

To change gears here....can you tell me which wire to pull to disconnect the buzzer??? This thing is driving me mad.

Replaced with new fuse...old was a little corroded.

Check to see that H6 and 7 are switched by the ignition. With the key off/out, you should not have 12V there.

Glad you got it fixed! I see in another thread you found the buzzer, too...

What's the result on checking for a drain?

Hard to imagine a good reason for all that mess. Depending on the relay used, maybe the PO had it rigged so he could push forward on the right stalk to enable/disable the instruments?

"Look honey,(pointing while unobtrusively pushing stalk) it's dead. We're going to have to sit here until help comes.
