That track car Mark A listed is a smoking deal..wow..I guess the lesson from this is to buy someone else's track car if you want to save some moola....but for me...I am enjoying the "process" of building "my" track car...and I'm not in it for ultra competition...but rather to have some fun ..

Man that black racer on ebay is NICE!
If I only had more time to do the things I like I would buy that car, start doing DE's and then go racing....

Part of the fun can be the building and the ability to say " I did that " . The 89 Track Car is a good START for a race car. Needs cage or roll bar , fuel cell ?, accusump ? STROKER MOTOR !!

Wow that is a NICE track car! Talk about tempting...should I ship another from from Cali? FWIW I spent quite a bit more than that building my 914 track car. At 2000lbs/125hp it was pretty quick, but that black car wouldn't even blink as it blew by.

What I don't understand is why why why didn't they go ahead and put in a good cage? You have to remove the roof skin to do it right and that will mess up that beautiful paint. They were already doing bodywork/welding and even welded the sunroof, seems like a no brainer to do it then. Ok figure $2k to pop off the roof and install a nice custom cage, maybe have them spray the interior while they are at it. Another 2k for safety equipment and for less than $20k you have a seriously quick track car.

You can easily do a cage without removing the roof. The thing that confuses me is that they gutted the doors without installing a cage. It looks like a 'ran out of money' car. With how nice the work looks, I'm not surprised he ran out of money. Wow.
