On another note, what you could do (I've heard the 951 guys have good luck with these guys) is send the pistons off to swaintech (.com) and have them put the PC-9 on the skirts and TBC on the top. Its basically a ceramic coating setup. Keeps your pistons cooler when you're cramming forced air down its throat and the skirt coating would be a great addition, and I hear its safe to use in our blocks too and won't really mess with clearance either. $38/piston for this. I'm going to do it for my 928 and my 951.
I think you mean like this?

I have all the rings to rering a 928 engine, but if the 951 rings really are going to be better for boost (and lack of blowby) then I may see about selling these and picking up 951 rings.

Here are some pics.

944NA oil ring pack:

The 951 version is a one piece ring with the spiral spring inside it.

Now, the second compression ring is an interesting difference as well. The 944 NA ring is not a solid block, like the top and second on the 951 set, but a back-side champfered lip:

Thanks for the link to the ring set there Brendan. I will check mine when I get home and see which set I have, I may be trying to sell them and get a set of 951 rings.

Default Torque Values

I'm getting close to putting in new rod bearings and piston rings but first I've been cleaning the block and all the passages the best I can and was working on cleaning the oil pressure valves, and sending unit.

I've removed the flanges and valves and cleaned everything and have put everything back but can't find the torque values in the WSM? It's a little vague.

Can anyone tell me the torque values for the pieces you see in this pic.

Thx

Default Oil Suction Tube Torque Values

I just installed pistons 1,2,5,6 notice the blue assmebly lube on the rods and now I want to tighten the 3 bolts on the Oil Suction tube but need the torque values?

Don't want anything shaking loose once it's bolted up! I think the 2 hex head bolts are M6s and the panhead bolt on the tube not sure of the size?

I found it in the WSM, it appears that unspecified M6 bolts are 7lbs and M8s are around 16lbs

I have the torque values but it's the ones that aren't specified I wasn't sure about?

Thx
