I was finally able to get some parts from this man. I called him this morning and asked if I could come by and pick up a couple of oil filters and various other things.

When I showed up, they were sitting on the back of his car in the garage.

I was not sure if I should knock, or just take the parts, so I knocked. He was home, on a sunday, packing up parts for shipment.

Now, isn't it strange that a man works on Sunday? Is this an Englishman thing, or is it just us US guys that take off on the weekends?

BTW, he won't read this thread, it embarrasses him, shy, humble guy that he is. It's no wonder that my wife is in love with him.

I am so humbled by your comments - thank you.
I am so happy serving the 928 community and I count all my customers as friends.
I have one over riding strategic goal for my business and it is called "do the right thing".
My first concern is "ship the product" after all that is what the customer wants and needs.
AR is a second concern - if you take care of the first the second falls into place.
I have one bad debt after 2 years of business - that's $10 - and its a bad debt because I got the customers email wrong.
The 928 community is the most honest and friendly business base you could wish for.
I ship parts all over the World and have no problems with payments at all.
Will one bite me in the buns one day - maybe.
I had 2 customers arrive at my house today to pick up parts - parts that they could not get anywhere else - that makes me feel really good.
Thank you for your continued business - my kids are very appreciative as they have shoes on their feet 8>)

Sean, I see the problem. You show up and not Angela.

My friendship with Roger far outweigh's the benefits of having any part imaginable 20 minutes from my house. Although that's pretty nice too.

+1 on the amazing service and knowledge!

I have only one complaint: The vacuum line he sent was measured in meters, how am I supposed to work with that?

He actually sent me a US vacuum line instead of a Euro vacuum line by mistake one time. I explained that my cars were Euro versions and could only use Euro vacuum. He told me to hold the wrong vacuum line up to the phone and he would fix it. I did as I was instructed, he said some magic incantations and voila: the vacuum line worked just fine.
Now that is some good customer service!
