I don't like them but for a few muscle cars they see to work.
If you do this be ready to burn yourself or a family member after telling them every time to watch the pipes they are hot.

They are dangerous, loud, reduce ground clearance a lot , and look pretty cool
in a rebel kind of way. Great fun on my daughter's Cobra replica and her big block Vette. None are made for a 928 and the "plumbing" under the car is not all that easy to get the exhaust that far forward...

I know you asked specifically for opinions of guys who had them on their 928s but I think there are only a couple (thankfully!) here. In my opinion they look hideous. Please don't do it to another one.....

Agreed. The ground clearance issue alone would tend to discourage one from even trying.

I agree that they probably wouldnt look right on a 928. I love the side pipes on my son's Roush Mustang. The Magnaflows & Xpipe make a very awesome throaty sound too!

Here's a pic of "Sidepipes Wayne"...
I am more of a 'function-is-fashion', so I don't understand losing ground clearance, but WG's '82 sounds really nice, and people liked that car.
