Default It's 928 Trivia Day!

We'll start off with an easy one... (Answer is in white... highlight to read)

Why do early US 928's have chrome rings around the headlights?

Becasue the US DOT required cars to have sealed beam headlights and since 8" round seal beams were not widely produced, they settled on a 7" and trimmed it with a chrome ring.

Post you own trivia to keep going.

In what 6 places can you find "928" as part of the branding on a 928? (Does not include stickers, or partnumbers).

The "928" can be found on each of the door sills, the brake pedal, clutch pedal, horn pad, and the metal trim surrounding the hatch glass on older 928's.

What switch must be turned on in order for the under-hood light to illuminate when open?

I believe this was up to 1990 or 1991, but the headlight switch must be turned on (at least to parking light) in order for the under-hood light to illuminate.

When was the last time BrendanC ever drove one of his 928's?

Trick question! He's only driven other people's 928, he only knows how to disassemble his 928s!

That’s sounds wrong. How can the GTS style shifter come out before the GTS? Shouldn’t it be the other way around? Maybe the GTS has an S4/GT style shifter!
