S/C inn can't get it to idle.
I got it running but my idle is jumping and will stall out, need to keep it at 1200 Rpm’s to run seems it’s skipping. I’m calling it a night, vacuum leak or what else could it be. I dropped the Maf off the fender and hope it is not that. Do I need to play with the idle adj? When up at 1200 it shows almost 20 lbs of vacuum and gauge is very lean. I did not let it warm up to go into closed loop due to it being in the garage.

Maybe its turbulance at the MAF. I've looked at the pics from your other post and the weird looking ruber elbow at the MAF could be creating too much turbulance. The MAF can act really funny when the air is not smooth. I had one heck of a time trying to figure out why my car wasn't idling or running right for thata matter. It was suggested that my original setup created too much turbulance at the MAF and that I should replace the elbow with a much larger and loger unit. After doing this the car ran fine, so maybe you are facing the same problem.

I had similar problems, vacuum leaks and mass air sensor related. The mass air sensor was causing idling problems - idling up and down between 650 and 1200 rpms. Make sure everything is installed correctly and tightened down. Might be a good idea to clean the mass air sensor while you're at it. Use electrical contact cleaner, nothing else otherwise it'll literally gum up the works. Radio Shack has it. If you start popping off the air intake hoses to the mass air sensor you're close and making boost... Mr. Olsen is correct... Soon you'll be an expert at this.

Check to make sure the MAF is firmly seated to the rubber elbow leading to the throttle body.

I found the center intake boot rolled back on the bottom. It's very easy to do that the fuel rail is evan with the boot. I did a test start with the S/c unhooked good idle although a little low. I am now hooking up the S/C and see how the idle is.

Glad you found the source of the air leak. Fortunately the alt belt is the outer one. Fix that and you should be ready for some fun.

The only unknown is the Temp controlled fan, I did not hook up the wire the senses Ing on and off to allow the fan to run with engine off. I could not find any info if it will not allow the fan to operate or just an option. I could not find a switchable 12 V source except for the coil under the hood. If I have to run a wire from the panel I will but that looks like a real pain.
So until the car heats up I won't know will stay close to home.
